Our special guest this month is the Executive Director of Family Hope House, Leslie Keenan. She will be presenting "Promoting Understanding and Healing for Siblings."
Being part of a foster or adoptive family is a defining feature of each individual in the family unit. Often, we focus on the experiences of the parent or the individual coming to our home by way of adoption or foster care. This month, we are taking a special look at the siblings who have joined these special families by birth. We will unpack how issues such as loss, rejection, shame, identity, relationships and control play out in the lives of those who have joined the family by birth and how we can support them.
Attendees must be present during the meeting to receive a training certificate for 1.5 hours.
